Chemical peels result in radiant complexions in Plano, Dallas, and Frisco
Chemical peels are a technique for exfoliation. Peels date back to ancient Egypt when sour milk, salt, alabaster, and animal products were applied to rejuvenate skin. Today, patients in the Plano/Dallas/Frisco area can enjoy beautiful complexions with modern chemical peels at Noble Cosmetic Surgery – Patrick Obasi, M.D.

Dr. Obasi understands that each patient is unique in skin type, concerns, and goals. He offers a variety of chemical peels to suit individual needs.
– Sometimes called a lunchtime peel because you can return to work or other activities right after this pampering treatment. Skin is cleansed and a mild alpha-hydroxy acid is applied to gently exfoliate the outer layer. This type of peel addresses rough texture and minor discoloration of skin on the face, neck, décolletage, or hands. Skin may be pink and flake, but exfoliation occurs quickly.
– A glycolic or trichloroacetic acid penetrates outer and middle skin layers, eliminating damaged cells. Medium peels are good for age spots, freckles, fine lines and wrinkles, rough skin, and actinic keratosis (a precancerous skin condition). Expect some stinging, redness, and swelling. Crusting and peeling generally take place within two weeks.
– An aggressive trichloroacetic acid or phenol peel may be needed to remedy moderately deep lines, significant pigmentation irregularities, or shallow scars. Healing takes about three weeks, and sun exposure and smoking must be avoided.
A series of mild or medium peels gets skin into top condition. With periodic re-treatment, your complexion can stay youthful and radiant year ‘round. Call Noble Cosmetic Surgery in Plano at (214) 974-4411 to talk with Dr. Obasi about the best type of chemical peels for you.
