During this unsettling time, we wanted to reach out to our patients and reassure you of our commitment to maintaining a safe, clean environment at Noble Cosmetic Surgery, because providing a safe and healthy environment for our patients and staff has been our top priority. Additionally, please take note of the following:
  • As a cosmetic medicine facility, we typically do not service sick patients. Our patients are electing to have procedures that are not medically necessary, so your risk of running into an ill patient is lower than that of other healthcare facilities.
  • Our surgeries and other treatments are performed in our private facilities that are used purely for elective treatments.
We continue to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, and are actively following the guidelines and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) as well as our local, state and federal government agencies. Our usual guidelines include universal precautions, frequent handwashing, and frequent sanitizing of all patient areas. For the most up-to-date information, please check the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website about this evolving situation, how to reduce the risk of spreading illness, travel health notices, and more.

The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus. Currently, as the coronavirus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person, we have now adopted several enhanced safety measures to decrease the risk of exposure to you and the community which include the following:
  • Please wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use the hand sanitizers provided when you enter our offices.
  • If you are feeling unwell or anyone in your household may have been exposed to COVID-19 through travel or attendance at large gatherings less than two weeks ago, please call us at your earliest convenience so we can reschedule you!
  • If you need to cough or sneeze, do so into the crease of your elbow, and then immediately wash your hands.
  • Know the symptoms of Coronavirus: tiredness, fever, weakness, shortness of breath and diarrhea. This virus is lower respiratory focused, so you may not have upper respiratory symptoms like a runny nose, sore throat, and congestion.
  • Take these additional preventive actions to stop the spread of germs-(wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces).
We hope that each of you will stay safe & healthy as we navigate this complex situation together.

Sincerely,
Dr. Obasi & his staff at Noble Cosmetic Surgery

Fat Graft

While fat often gets a bad rap, it’s an essential component in keeping the face looking plump and radiant. At Noble Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Patrick Obasi offers fat grafts to residents of Plano, Texas, which involves transferring fat from one area of your body to your face. The result? A transformation that leaves you looking rejuvenated and youthful. To learn more about this procedure, contact Noble Cosmetic Surgery by phone or online.

Fat Graft Q & A

A fat graft procedure involves using cells or tissues harvested from your own body to augment areas where your skin has lost volume. Tissue is taken from areas where fat is more readily available, such as the abdomen, buttocks, or thighs. It’s then liquefied and injected into areas that need it.

Since fat grafting involves using your own tissue to augment your body ― as opposed to a foreign filler or implant – there’s a relatively low risk of infection or allergic reaction. Other benefits of fat grafting include:

  • Results that look soft and natural
  • Enhancements last a long time
  • The technique is minimally invasive
  • Recovery time is typically three weeks or less

Dr. Obasi ensures your comfort while giving you an anesthetic. He makes tiny incisions in the area of the body where fat is being removed. Using a thin tube called a cannula, he removes fat through suction.

While you rest, Dr. Obasi uses a filtration method or centrifuge to remove impurities and thin the fat so it can pass through a fine needle.

He then transfers this fat to the face, where he inserts a needle into the treatment area, passing it in and out multiple times. This technique deposits the fat evenly. In some cases, the doctor may intentionally overfill just a bit, because not all of the grafted cells will survive.

Dr. Obasi makes sure you understand how to care for your skin properly after the procedure. It’s possible you’ll experience some tenderness and swelling around the treated areas, but this should subside within a few weeks. You may need multiple fat grafts to achieve your desired results.

Patients experience smoothed creases, improved appearance of depressed acne scars, more plump lips and cheeks, and more volume in areas that tend to sag, like under the eyes.

As an experienced surgeon in the fat graft procedure, Dr. Obasi works with you to make sure you achieve your desired results.
