Erase years with endoscopic brow lift surgery in the Plano, Dallas, Frisco area
Muscles of the forehead create a variety of facial expressions. Some raise eyebrows for a quizzical look or surprise. Other muscles pull brows down and inward for a frown, or draw skin between the brows together in anger. Those animations are vital to human communication. However, over time, repeated muscle contractions form lines and wrinkles on the forehead. As we age, we lose muscle tone, which allows eyebrows to droop. At Noble Cosmetic Surgery – Patrick Obasi M.D. in Plano, endoscopic brow lift surgery takes years off patients’ faces.
The secret to a fresh-faced look
Brow lift surgery reduces wrinkles and furrows on the forehead, and repositions the brow line. The forehead smooths out for a refreshed, pleasant, youthful appearance. The procedure is performed in-house, at our sterile surgery center.
It typically takes one to three hours to complete these steps:
- IV sedation helps you relax. Then the forehead is numbed with local anesthetic.
- Dr. Obasi makes a few small incisions at the hairline.
- He inserts an endoscope, a very small camera that allows him to see under the skin, with live feed on a television monitor.
- Using special instruments, the doctor lifts forehead skin, and adjusts underlying muscles.
- Excess skin is removed.
- Incisions are closed with fine sutures.
Most patients have some residual swelling and bruising, but return to normal activities within two weeks.
